Hey friends! The first two months of 2020 have absolutely flown by. In the midst of all the busyness, something I have been working on is condensing my wardrobe. Basically, I want to get rid of anything that doesn’t bring me joy or that I am not getting good use out of. Going through this cleaning process has helped me realize which items I gravitate towards most, and that’s what we’ll be discussing today! I wanted to get this post out sooner, but I figured better late than never. 🙂 Keep reading if you’re curious as to what my top 10 fashion finds were for 2019.
Every blogger under the sun was talking about these Amazon leggings, and with good reason. I honestly don’t even know how many times I have worn these since buying them because I love them that much. They are buttery soft, so insanely comfortable, and completely OPAQUE which just makes my day. I’ve waited a while after purchasing the first pair to see how they would hold up, and they’re still perfect. I’ll be buying a few more pairs to replace other leggings I’m getting rid of.
I posted quite a few pictures in this cardigan, and truthfully – I wore it CONSTANTLY. This Topshop cardigan was a Nordies Anniversary Sale snag, and it is one of the most versatile cardigans I own. I wear this with both athleisure and normal outfits. It is the perfect amount of cozy oversize, and the side slits allow for great movement (plus it doesn’t look bunched up).
Leith makes some of my absolute favorite bodysuits, and ya’ll – I love me a good bodysuit. This particular one is the one-shoulder bodysuit, and I seriously reach for it so much. It’s amazing in the summer on its own, or layered under jackets during the colder months. The cut is very unique to anything else I have, so it immediately adds interest to any outfit I create with it.
Moving on to the shoe portion of my fashion finds. No joke – I have the Treasure & Bond Farrah Studded Boots in four different colorways because it’s my absolute favorite boot. Everything about it is exactly what I want – medium-height block heel, higher on the ankle, and slimming with the pointed toe.
My most worn pair of tennis shoes are the Adidas Falcons. Before purchasing, I was SO unsure on whether the “dad shoe” trend would be for me. I’m absolutely obsessed now. Walking in these feels like you’re walking on clouds, making them perfect for absolutely any occasion (especially trips). I love the way these look with normal athleisure outfits or even with jeans, so the versatility is appreciated.
Four pairs of Doc Martens bless my wardrobe right now – yes, I know I’m insane. I promise they all serve their purpose! Lately, my favorite out of the four have been my Jadon boots. The platform is A+ because I love adding height, to my otherwise small frame, as often as I can. Not going to lie, they were a bitch to break in at first (all Doc’s are, TBH), but they’re perfectly comfy afterwards.
Sizing reference – I size a full size down in all my Docs (I’m normally a 9-9.5 and all of my Docs are size 8) for the perfect fit.
Next up for my fashion finds are accessories! I have worn this Free People belt constantly because it adds the perfect edge to any outfit. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it’s western inspired, being that I live in Texas. Western, but not terribly so.
I bought my first two Mejuri purchases in 2019, and I absolutely love what they’ve added to my little layering situation. The quality is really nice – I will totally be ordering a few more things from them in the near future (I’m eyeing the earrings)!
Towards the beginning of 2019, I purchased these Quay Sunglasses and I almost exclusively reach towards them every time I want to wear sunglasses.
This Tory Burch crossbody was another one of my 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases. I had bought the same one in a cognac brown color the year before, but I’m so glad I purchased the black color, given that the majority of the clothes I wear are black. This crossbody checks off all the boxes for me. While the size is small, it fits SO much. I can comfortably fit my phone, keys, lip products, asthma inhaler (lol) and a few other small things. It has built-in card and cash slots so you don’t have to have a wallet. This is my go-to bag for events or going out at night. Since it’s small, I also stow it away in my suitcases during travel for easy use once I arrive at my location.
Let me know in the comments – what are your favorite fashion finds? I’m curious to see if we have similar ones, or if there’s something I’m missing out on!
